Hockey Playing Career

• Started playing and representing school in 1962 and at 15 joined Bridlington.Selected for North Yorkshire.
• Over the years played club hockey for Bridlington, Scarborough, Hull East Riding, Gillingham,
  Epsom, Harrogate and now City of York (with various roles including Captain Treasurer).
• Toured with Scarborough, Epsom, Harrogate Vets, City of York, LX Ladies.
• Represented North Masters from 2011 (O50 – O65).
• Played for England O60 in Lille, Home Internationals and World Cup at Rotterdam (2014).
• Played for Alliance O60 in European Cup at Southgate (2015).
• Formed LX Lionesses to participate in O60 TT at Canberra, Australia (2016).
• Joined LX Ladies and played in Europeans O60 at Glasgow (2017).
• Played for LX Ladies O65 in World Cup at Barcelona (2018) and European Cup at Brasschaat (2019).
• Played for LX Ladies Inaugural O70 in Tilburg and Valencia (2022).
• Played for LX Ladies O65 in World Cup at Cape Town (2022).

Hockey administration roles

• Coached and umpired in schools 1994 – 2004 and club umpire from 2004.
• Chair of City of York (2011 – 2019).
• Founding member and Chair of LX Ladies from 2016.
• Board Member of WGMA from 2021.

Other Interests

• Treasurer of M500 Society (for Open University staff students) from 1983.
• Volunteer Walking Leader for HF Holidays in UK from 2002 and Overseas from 2014.
• Field Adviser for HF Holidays from 2012.
• Walking, trekking, yoga, travelling.
