The Hockey Paper
The Hockey Paper has been re-launched in the UK. Although based in the UK, The Hockey Paper covers global hockey and has introduced a special section for Masters Hockey and we intend to feed regular stories from around the world with pictures. Please help by sending any interesting stories about Masters Hockey in your country either to WGMA or direct to the Hockey Paper. Hopefully some of you may wish to subscribe which will encourage the paper to give more space to Masters!
WGMA has received this message from the new owner.
We have taken on and relaunched The Hockey Paper with a newly re-designed website and a digital-first strategy, meaning that all premium content, which was previously published in print, is now held securely behind a paywall. This digital approach allows us to re-invest into editorial, provide more up-to-date news, and enrich the reader experience with audio and video. Please check out the end product at www.thehockeypaper.co.uk Of course, some free content will continue to be available, for those readers not ready to subscribe.
Led by Rod Gilmour who has covered Olympic hockey for The Daily Telegraph, our editorial team will continue to offer unrivalled coverage of the key issues facing hockey, such as junior safety, the 3G threat, and of course we will also be offering coverage of major competitions such as The Olympics, World Cup, Euros, and FIH Pro League.
We continually look to reflect what is happening in the world of Hockey. So, with the Masters scene booming, we are delighted to announce that we have created a new Masters section on our website, to cover the various tournaments and festivals. News features/suggestions are always welcome!
In addition we have created new section for Junior, Club, Umpiring, Coaching, and Health. So, something for everyone – all ages, all roles, and all walks of life within our hockey community. In time we will include more International coverage, which will no doubt be of interest to many of your members.
We strongly believe that the hockey community deserves to have a quality, trusted news resource, which is why we have committed to this endeavour. The response so far has been very encouraging. We do hope that members of the World Grand Masters Association may consider supporting us by taking out a subscription with us. These are £4.50 per month or £45 per year.
Thank you in advance for your time and I wish you the best of luck with the WGMA.
