Hockey Playing Career

Played for Isca HC in 1962 before joining Guildford HC the following year
• After a spell in Trinidad (1964-65) returned to Guildford and toured with the Angels before moving to St Albans HC in 1970
• Represented Sussex, Hertfordshire and Surrey A
• Joined LX Club in 2000 and played for England Grand Masters at Edinburgh and Athens in 2004.

Subsequently played for the LX Red side in WGMA events at Rotterdam (2005), Bra and Leverkusen (2006), Canterbury (2007) and Barcelona (2008). Returned to the England national side at 65+ winning the European Cup at Amstelveen (2009) and Neuss (2011) and the World Cup at Cape Town (2010). Followed this with European success at 70+ at Kontich (2013) and the World Cup at The Hague (2014). Played for LX O70 Red at the World Cup in Newcastle, NSW (2016) and at the European Cup in Glasgow (2017). Returned to England 75+ team for the World Cup at Barcelona (2018) and the European Cup at Brasschaat (2019)

Hockey administration roles

• Former President of St Albans HC and served on the LX Club management committee for several years
• Elected Hon Secretary of WGMA in Hong Kong 2008. Founding Board member of World Masters Hockey 2018, resigned 2019 to concentrate on the future of WGMA

Other sports

• Represented Trinidad at rugby and played cricket for Sussex Under19, enthusiastic golfer
